About the Author
Yordanka Minkova was born and raised in Bulgaria and has a Master’s Degree in English Philology and Literature from the University of Veliko Turnovo. As an adolescent, Yordanka wrote many collections of poems and was drawn to the beauty of expression through words and spoken language. Yordanka’s first book “Spinning Words” was a non-fiction book published in 1994 and was an exploration of the origin of idioms in our language.
Through her career in international public policy at the Regional Environmental Centre for Central and Eastern Europe and the EU institutions, Yordanka contributed to some of the most prominent topics in our society, including environmental protection, education, human rights and migration. Yordanka’s international career led her to live in Bulgaria, Hungary, the United Kingdom and Poland. As a mother of two and now a grandmother, Yordanka deeply cares for the state of our planet we will leave behind for the future generations.
The “Big Prince” combines Yordanka’s literary roots from her education and adolescence with her preoccupation of prominent themes of the public domain in an engaging, easily accessible and thought-provoking manner.
